City’s Fireworks Policy

If you have an immediate threat to life or property, DIAL 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, DIAL 425-407-3999.

Fireworks are no longer legal within Mukilteo City limits.

Per Mukilteo Municipal Code Chapter 8.04, it is unlawful for any person to sell, use, transfer, discharge, ignite or explode any fireworks within the City, unless you have a specific permit allowing the discharge of fireworks (example: Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival).  Applications for a permit to hold, conduct or operate a public display of fireworks shall be made to the fire marshal at least fourteen days prior to the scheduled event. Applicants shall meet all qualifications and requirements of state law regarding public display of fireworks and all fire and safety requirements as set forth in the standards for public display.

Violations of this chapter shall constitute a misdemeanor and be subject to the provisions contained in Mukilteo Municipal Code Chapter 1.32.
