Sound Transit Conducting “Rolling Slowdowns” on Interstate-5 Beginning February 24

Beginning February 24, Sound Transit will be conducting two 15 minute rolling slowdowns on Interstate-5 between the hours of 1:00 am to 3:00 am. This work is part of Sound Transit’s Lynnwood Link Extension Project to construct the gateway. The rolling slowdown will enter I-5 at Harvard Avenue East and continue for 7.5 miles up to Northeast 185th Street.

The rolling slowdown will end I-5 southbound at 128th Street SW (SR 96) and continue at 164th SW (Exit 183) and continue for 7.5 miles to Northeast 185th Street.

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) will be leading the rolling slowdowns. Drivers should expect delays while crews are relocating utility lines.
