Mukilteo is streamlining its parking programs, which include resident passes for the waterfront, residential parking in Old Town, and leasing monthly commuter parking near the ferry. The City is excited to announce the transition of all our parking programs to a digital platform. Residents can now apply for and manage their parking permits through our user-friendly online portal. The move to online permitting will allow our Police Department to scan license plates instead of exiting their vehicles to check for physical passes. This will provide more consistent enforcement in a more efficient way that frees them up for other tasks.
Notably, the resident waterfront parking permits (the ones that allow Mukilteo residents to park free in the paid parking at Lighthouse Park) stand out as the most utilized parking pass in Mukilteo. To acquire a parking pass for this purpose, visit the Mukilteo Parking Permit Portal and choose “Resident Waterfront” as your permit type. Refer to our guide for easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions.
For those in need of in-person assistance, walk-in tech support will be available at City Hall every Wednesday in January from 8-11am and 1-3pm. Please bring your driver’s license and vehicle registration for each vehicle you would like to register.
While hoping to get the majority of pass holders up to date in the new system by the end of January, the Police Department will continue to recognize physical passes until April in all zones, allowing residents time to adjust to the new digital platform. For more information, call City Hall, at 425.263.8000 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
