The Mukilteo Police Department will host “Coffee with a Cop” on October 3, 2018, from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. “This Coffee with a Cop event is one of the many ways our Police Department stay engaged with the community. I invite everyone to stop by and speak to members of our Police Department, ask questions, and learn about the great work they do for our residents”, said Mukilteo Mayor Jennifer Gregerson.
This opportunity allows for police and the community to interact in a relaxed environment that provides the most effective time for relationship building.
“Coffee with a Cop” provides the most comfortable environment for the community to enjoy a positive interactive experience with police department members. Police-community partnerships are necessary to police effectively and maintain strong healthy relationships with community members”, said Police Chief Cheol Kang.
October 3rd is National “Coffee with a Cop Day” and is supported by The United States Department of Justice and The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time.
