Mukilteo Police Department Announces Partnership with Everett Animal Shelter

The Mukilteo Police Department is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Everett Animal Shelter. This collaboration enhances our commitment to animals in our community and allows us to better care for lost animals.

This partnership allows us to pickup lost or abandoned “pocket pets”, including domestic rabbits, hamsters, and guinea pigs, avians and more, and take them to the Everett Animal Shelter. We urge community members who may have lost a pet to call the Everett Animal Shelter, as we now will utilize their services.

We still maintain a contract with PAWS in Lynnwood, and residents should still check in with them should they lose a pet. Having dual contracts gives us more options for housing pets and gives our residents another option for dropping off strays and pets that owners want to surrender. If a community member intends to bring an animal to PAWS or the Everett Animal Shelter, they will need to call them first.

The Everett Animal Shelter is located at 333 Smith Island Rd, Everett WA 98201. Their phone number is 425-257-6000. Animal Services | Everett, WA – Official Website (everettwa.gov)
