Mukilteo Planning Commission Term Expiring March 31

Planning Commissioner Nicole Thomsen’s term on the Planning Commission is due to end on March 31, 2020.  We are now accepting applications for this position. Application Deadline: 4:30pm, Friday, February 14, 2020Confirmation of Mayor Jennifer Gregerson’s recommendation is scheduled for the Regular Council Meeting on Monday, March 16, 2020.

The qualification to serve on the Planning Commission includes being a resident within the City limits; knowledge of planning, land use and zoning is recommended. This appointment is for a six (6) year term from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2026.

Per MMC 2.36, the City’s Planning Commission consists of seven members who are appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council. Duties of this Commission include an annual review of the Comprehensive Plan and making recommendations to the Mayor and City Council.  This Commission may also act as the research and fact finding agency of the City upon such request or authority given by the Mayor and City Council on land use and other related issues.  For more information about the City’s Planning Commission, visit their homepage.

The Planning Commission’s regular meetings are 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in Council Chambers at Mukilteo City Hall, 11930 Cyrus Way.
