Mukilteo Departments Adjust Normal Operations

As of March 11, 2020, the City of Mukilteo continues its effort to respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and public health concerns. To reduce exposure risks, alternatives for City services are suggested. The City Council meeting scheduled for March 16, 2020, will be held but it is recommended that residents consider viewing it via live-stream on the City’s website at https://mukilteowa.gov/city-council/council-meeting-agendas-minutes-audio-video/ or Councilmembers can be emailed anytime at elected@mukilteowa.gov. City staff members are available during normal business hours by phone at (425) 263-8000 to answer questions and assist with City services.

The Mukilteo Police Department will temporarily suspend all discretionary fingerprint services. Our goal is to reduce the likelihood of exposure risks and virus transmission to the community. It is important to provide police department services while promoting a healthy and safe environment during these times. Therefore, only concealed pistol licence (CPL) paperwork will continue for Mukilteo residents and fingerprinting will be completed at a later date.

Mukilteo Fire Department personnel contact more vulnerable segments of the community with much more frequency. To protect the community, the fire department has suspended all station and fire fighter vehicle tours. All station and school visits have been temporarily suspended as well.

The City of Mukilteo is thankful for the support of the community and the understanding of those impacted by this temporary and necessary adjustment from normal business practices.

A public announcement will be made when normal fingerprinting services resume and City operations return to normal.
