Mukilteo, home to an operating and historic lighthouse, has beautiful views of Possession Sound, Whidbey Island and the Olympic Peninsula. - Rosehill Community Center‘s Indoor Gallery featuring rotating exhibits of local artists or students.
- The 1906 Mukilteo Light Station, which has been fully restored and automated, still sends out signals to ships in Possession Sound. The gift shop is open Saturdays and Sundays, 12-5pm
from April to September and holidays. Adjacent to the Light Station, Lighthouse Park offers an accessible beach, play and picnic areas, restrooms, boat launch and fire pits. The Park is open until dusk year around; fires may only be in the fire pits by using cut firewood. Mukilteo residents park free; non-residents pay a nominal fee. - The Mukilteo Walking Tour is also within Lighthouse Park. A joint project with area non-profits and the City of Mukilteo, the tour offers a scenic seascape, less than a mile of wasy ealking, and fourteen pausing points that highlight several interesting features of the human and natural history of the region. The tour is fully accessible and restrooms are readily available.
- Be sure to return to Mukilteo for the annual Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival held at Lighthouse Park the second weekend of September. A grant parade, children’s parade, a 5K and 10K runs (Run-a-Muk). The Festival is a three-day event that includes fireworks, a salute to the Military, Salmon Bake, battle of the bands, children’s fun area, food and artists’ booths plus the Chamber’s very popular Beer and Wine Garden. Entrance is free, and transportation from area lots is provided at a nominal fee.
- Old Town Mukilteo dates back to 1858 when the first settlement in the County was established on the northern point of Mukilteo. Pioneers to Mukilteo developed a trading post, lumber mill, cannery and a port of entry for the trading ships. To learn more, visit About Mukilteo on this website.
- Japanese Gulch is a City park of over 100 acres of trails includes diverse wetlands and lush forest for the enjoyment of all. There are several park entrances, including 5th Street and 76th
from mid-town. We invite you to learn more about the History of Japanese Gulch or read about the Japanese Gulch Master Plan. - Mukilteo Dog Park is a relatively new City amenity that is approximately 1/2 mile east of town off 5th Street. The Dog Park features a fenced play area for dogs of all sizes and breeds to socialize and exercise. Owners are responsible for waste removal; a portable potty is also available.
- The Chamber’s 76th Street Tourism Center is at the intersection of the Mukilteo Speedway (SR525) and 76th Street in the mid-town area. Stop in for brochures about Mukilteo, what’s happening, as well as maps of the area.
