Map Your Neighborhood Class

June 15, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

After an earthquake or a major storm, it will take some time before the on-duty fire personnel can reach the 22,000 members of our community. The potential for damaged fire stations, blocked and destroyed roadways, broken utilities, and collapsed structures may create tremendous challenges. That is why the Mukilteo Fire Department encourages everyone to be prepared to take care of your families and neighbors for up to two weeks before help arrives from outside the area.

Two ways to get ready to do this: pick up an Individually Prepared. Together Resilient booklet at Fire Station 25, 10400 47th Pl W during business hours; and sign up for the Map Your Neighborhood class on Saturday, June 15, from 10am-12pm at Fire Station 25. You will learn the 9 steps to take immediately following a disaster and how to help prepare neighbors to take care of each other. To register, contact Fire Marshal Roger Rudikoff at 425-263-8158 or rrudikoff@mukilteowa.gov.
