This Board was established in 2008 pursuant to the authority of RCW 41.26.110 and Chapter 164, Washington Laws passed in 1988 and its powers, duties, and responsibilities are as established by State Law. In the event of any conflict of these rules with State law, the latter shall govern.
SCOPE: These rules and regulations shall be applicable to all LEOFF 1 employees and retirees covered by chapter 41.26 RCW whether fire fighter or police officer, unless specifically provided herein.
Board Membership – the Board shall consist of five (5) members as follows:
1) Two members of the legislative body of the city (appointed by the Mayor).
2) One LEOFF 1 fire fighter representative employed or retired.
3) One LEOFF 1 law enforcement officer representative employed or retired.
4) One member from the public at large (appointed by the Board).
