Salary Commission

Overview

The Mukilteo Salary Commission was established under Ordinance No. 1498. This independent Commission is responsible for setting the salaries of the City's elected officials, including the Mayor and City Council. The Commission consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Members of the Commission must be residents of Mukilteo and cannot be current officers, officials, employees of the City, or immediate family members of such individuals.

Length of Term

Initial terms staggered between three and four years. Subsequent appointees will serve four-year terms.
