Overview
The Civil Service Commission consists of three members who are appointed by the Mayor for six-year terms, subject to confirmation by the City Council. Duties and responsibilities of this Commission include the adoption of rules and regulations to carry out the purposes and intent established under MMC 2.62 and to conduct Appeal Hearings or other matters as may be referred to the Commission.

Public Comments
The Civil Service Commission appreciates hearing from the public about items on its agenda or other City matters. The public may comment in-person, remotely, or via written public testimony, which must be received by noon the day of the meeting and will become a permanent record.
