City of Mukilteo is Accepting Applications for the 2026 Co-Sponsorship Facility Use Grant

The City of Mukilteo's Department of Recreation and Cultural Services is now accepting applications for the 2026 Co-Sponsorship Facility Use Grant.

This grant provides in-kind support-such as waived rental fees for the use of City-owned facilities-to organizations that host public events in Mukilteo. Please note: this grant does not include any direct monetary award.

 Purpose of the Grant

 The Co-Sponsorship Facility Use Grant Program supports special events that:

  • Enhance the cultural, recreational, educational, or economic vitality of the Mukilteo community.
  • Promote and expand new or existing programs, activities, or special events in Mukilteo.
  • Encourage economic development by attracting visitors and supporting local businesses.
  • Improve the overall health and well-being of residents and guests.

Note: Events held in City of Mukilteo Park that include a Beer or Wine Garden must obtain Co-Sponsorship status as part of the City's permitting requirements.

Examples of Eligible Projects

Public events that celebrate local arts and culture, offer recreational or educational activities, or support youth, adult, or senior engagement.

  • Events that stimulate job creation, tourism, or business development.

Who Can Apply

Eligible applicants include public or private organizations that:

  • Demonstrate the ability to carry out a community-based event or program by December 31, 2026.
  • May include nonprofit organizations, neighborhood groups, schools, educational institutions, or public agencies.

 Selection Process

  • Staff will screen submissions for completeness and eligibility.
  • Qualified applicants will be invited to present their proposal to the Review Committee. Please refer to the attached scoring rubric when preparing your presentation.
  • The Review Committee will make recommendations to the City Council, which makes the final decision.
  • Approved applicants will work with staff to complete any permits, finalize event logistics, and sign the co-sponsorship agreement.
