Scholarships
The City of Mukilteo Recreation & Cultural Services Department strives to make recreation opportunities available regardless of income. To that end we provide recreation scholarships to those who might not otherwise be able to participate.
Scholarship Overview
- Scholarships are available for selected Mukilteo youth recreation program activities (17 years and under). Rentals and party packages are not eligible for scholarships.
- The maximum scholarship amount is $50 per dependent.
- Based on available funds, applicants will be funded on a first-come basis.
- Check availability of class or program.
- Complete a scholarship application.
- Free & Reduced Lunch eligibility letter.
- Recreation Program staff will review the application and contact the household member regarding scholarship status. Please allow one week for processing. If approved $50 will be placed into your family account. Unused funds expire 12/1/2025.
Eligibility
- Individuals and families must provide proof of income eligibility.
- Copy of your child’s free or reduced lunch letter or DSHS food assistance letter is required.
Application Process
- Fill out the scholarship application.
- Email complete application and eligibility to Recreation & Cultural Services Supervisor Dale Dahl: ddahl@mukilteowa.gov.
- You will be notified of awarded scholarship.
