Waste Management Offers Mukilteo Residents Garbage and Recycling Options

As you know, the City of Mukilteo postponed the annual large item pick up/spring cleaning event that would have happened next week. We know lots of you are home and might be either creating more garbage, doing more yard work, or house cleaning.

Waste Management has options for your extra garbage and recycling.  Instructions can be found here.

  • Store it to donate when you can. Local donation centers are Northwest Center at 12108 Mukilteo Speedway, Goodwill Donation Center at 228 SW Everett Mall Way, and Habitat for Humanity at 16929 Highway 99 in Lynnwood. Each center takes different items, be sure to check their websites to see when they will again accept donations. The information provided may change without notice.
  • Put out extra recycling for free next to your recycle cart in a box (limit 3’x3’x3′) or paper bag the morning of your collection to keep it dry. Do Not use plastic bags.
  • Put out a 32 gallon extra can or bag of garbage next to your garbage cart for an additional charge of $4.72 each. Maximum weight for extras is 55 lbs each.
  • Put out extra yard waste next to your cart; maximum weight for extras is 55 lbs each. Be sure to place all your food waste in your compost cart!
