Waste Management (WM) is currently conducting a service audit in Mukilteo to ensure that residents who have Waste Management containers are an active subscriber with them. The City of Mukilteo contracts with Waste Management to provide garbage, recycling and compost services to residents in the south area of town.
In general, WM provides the blue recycling and green compost/yard waste bins to subscribers for a fee; subscribers can choose to provide their own waste cart or rent one, and monthly fees vary according to the types of services residents subscribe to.
“Our teams have been out in the community to match carts with services to ensure that all of our customers receive the appropriate service they’ve subscribed to,” stated Waste Management Public Sector Manager Will Ibershof. “Letters to residents will be sent on approximately April 17 to let them know what we’ve learned, and they will have until about May 1 to update their services with us or our collection carts will be removed.”
Residents who have questions about this audit, fees or any of WM services can call 1-800-592-9995 Monday through Friday from 7am – 7 pm, or on Saturday from 9am to 1pm. Online assistance is also available from www.wmnorthwest.com.
