With funding approved by the voters in 2016, Sound Transit is planning for parking and access improvements at both the Edmonds and Mukilteo Stations. The goal is to give more people access to the Sounder train, both for weekday commuting and special events. These improvements include:
- additional parking
- better walking, biking and transit connections
- convenience pickup and drop-off areas
They have created a unique online open house beginning today, March 20 through April 8 for residents to learn more about the project and provide Sound Transit with any input you may want to share; this input will inform their decisions about how to split $40 million between the Edmonds and Mukilteo Stations for these improvements.
You can also talk to Sound Transit Staff at the Mukilteo Library (4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd., Mukilteo) on Saturday, March 30 from 1-4pm. This is a free event and open to the public.
