Puget Sound Energy (PSE) and subcontractors have been working on the natural gas system along SR525/Mukilteo Speedway since the week of November 26. The work requires PSE to install a new 6-inch corrosion-resistant plastic natural gas main which will increase the capacity of the natural gas system serving the neighborhoods starting at 19th Drive SE and north to Goat Trail Road.
This work will resume on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in consideration of the increased holiday traffic along the highway. Typical work hours are 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Message from PSE:
- Signs and traffic control flaggers will guide vehicles and pedestrians safely through the work zone.
- There will likely be some noise from trucks and heavy machinery.
- You should not experience any interruption of natural gas service during this time. If an interruption is warranted, the crew will notify impacted customers prior to beginning the work.
- This work should not impact electric service in the area.
