Police “National Night Out” August 7

On August 7, 2018 at the Mukilteo YMCA between 4 and 7pm, the Police Department and the City of Mukilteo will again sponsor “National Night Out”, an annual community-building campaign that promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.  2018 is the 35th year celebrating National Night Out.

“National Night Out enhances the relationship our officers have with our residents that bring back a sense of true community,” stated Mayor Jennifer Gregerson.  “This community and City event provides a positive atmosphere for everyone to relate on a personal level, and mirrors Police Chief Cheol Kang’s commitment to community partnerships and community problem solving for and with the residents of Mukilteo.”

Traditionally, Mukilteo’s National Night Out is held in the parking lot of the Mukilteo YMCA (10601 47th Place W, Mukilteo), which is adjacent to the Mukilteo Police Department.  Police, Fire, other City staff, and vendors will be on hand to provide residents with information, safety demonstrations, music/entertainment, and food. Many neighborhoods host block parties, cookouts and various other events to celebrate the night.  This is a free event, and all residents are welcome to attend. Parking is limited, public transportation is encouraged.
