Two terms on the Planning Commission are due to end on March 31, 2022. We are now accepting applications for these positions.
The deadline to submit applications is 4:30pm, Friday, March 11, 2022. Virtual interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of March 14, 2022. Confirmation of Mayor Marine’s recommendation is tentatively scheduled for the Regular Council Meeting on March 21, 2022.

The qualification to serve on the Planning Commission includes being a resident within the City limits; knowledge of planning, land use and zoning is recommended.
Per MMC 2.36, the City’s Planning Commission consists of seven members who are appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council. Duties of this Commission include an annual review of the Comprehensive Plan and making recommendations to the Mayor and City Council. This Commission may also act as the research and fact finding agency of the City upon such request or authority given by the Mayor and City Council on land use and other related issues.
