The City of Mukilteo is seeking applicants to fill a DEI Commission term, which expires December 31, 2022. Monthly meetings are held at 5:00pm the fourth Wednesday of the month via Zoom.
The DEI Commission provides information, education, and communication that facilitates understanding of diversity and celebrates and respects individual differences. The commission makes recommendations to the Mayor and City Council regarding diversity opportunities to promote programs and provide guidance to assure an accessible, safe, welcoming and inclusive government and community. The commission also recommends effective strategies for public engagement, removing barriers, and increasing access to city services for our city’s diverse population, as well as support, challenge, and guide government and the community to eliminate and prevent all forms of discrimination and racism. Complete the online application to be considered. The application period will remain open until applications are received. All applicants must be residents of the City of Mukilteo.
After receipt of applications, interviews with the Mayor will be scheduled. City Council confirmation will be scheduled shortly after.
