New Storm To Arrive on February 14

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting another storm to arrive today through early Saturday. Temps will be slightly warmer, with the snow level rising above 1500 feet. It should be warm enough to avoid a rain/snow mix; rain is expected for the duration of the storm.

Heavy, wet snow will continue the threat for tree damage and power outages.

Melting snow and rain on top of the remaining snow pack may threaten urban street flooding. It would be helpful for residents to ensure there is no debris blocking access to the storm water system.

The NWS also mentions an increased threat of landslides below 1500 feet heading into the weekend where melting snow and rain will saturate the soil.
