MUKILTEO WATER AND WASTEWATER DISTRICT 2016 WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

Mukilteo Speedway, Clover Lane and Washington Avenue Work –  Begins June 20, 2016

 Notice:

This is an update to the March 16, 2016 letter. The District’s Contractor, SRV Construction, Inc., will begin construction on the Lift Station 10 Force Main Project on June 20, 2016. This project replaces the old PVC force main running along the Speedway with new Restraint Joint Ductile Iron sewer main. The project will start on the East shoulder of the Speedway near Clover Lane, continue up Clover Lane, along Washington Avenue, then ties back in at the Speedway just South of 76th St. The work hours on the Speedway are Monday through Tuesday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Wednesday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM, to avoid severe congestion.  All other construction hours are per the City of Mukilteo, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM.

Impacts:

The construction operations will take place along the shoulders of the roads. Traffic will be flagged and channelized during these operations. Traffic lanes may be temporarily closed in some areas with flaggers helping to direct traffic around and through the work zones. There will be some temporary loss of parking during final paving operations, as equipment is stored and as the pipes are installed along the streets.

Contact for Questions:

The District appreciates your understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns in regards to this project, please feel free to contact Operations/Engineering Manager Rick Matthews at rickm@mukilteowwd.org or 425-355-3355.
