Mukilteo to Host Special Reception for Retiring Councilmembers

The City of Mukilteo will host a special reception at City Hall on Monday, December 4 at 6:30pm to honor the service of retiring City Councilmembers Randy Lord and Ted Wheeler. The public is invited to attend, and join previous Mayors and Councilmembers who have served with Mr. Lord and Mr. Wheeler.
Refreshments will be provided.

Randy Lord has served on the Mukilteo City Council since 2006, having previously served on the Parks & Arts Commission from 1992 to 2006. He has previously served as Council President and Vice President, and currently serves on the Finance & IT, Paine Field Airport, and Youth Advisory Committees. Councilmember Lord has been an active community volunteer for many years and especially loved supporting the Kamiak Show Band.

Ted Wheeler was elected to the City Council in 2013, currently serving on the Law Enforcement Officer and Firefighter (LEOFF) 1 Disability Board, and as an alternate to the Land Use & Economic Development and Public Safety Committees. Councilmember Wheeler previously served on the Parks & Arts Commission from 2012 to 2014, and is well known in town as a certain jolly fellow in a red suit who comes to visit about this time of year.
