Mukilteo Seeks Applicants for City Council Vacancy

The City of Mukilteo is seeking applicants to fill the unexpired term of City Council Position No. 1 vacated by former City Councilmember Anna Rohrbough who is moving out of the area.

“We appreciate Councilmember Rohrbough’s service and wish her well. This is an opportunity for a member of our community to step forward to serve, and I look forward to reviewing the applications,” said Council President Richard Emery.

The application deadline to apply for this Position is June 3, 2020 at 4:30 PM. No late entries will be accepted. Per RCW 35A.12.030, applicants must be over age 18 and a registered voter of the City of Mukilteo at the time the application is submitted. Applicants must have been a resident of Mukilteo for at least one year preceding your appointment, scheduled for June 22, 2020.

Interviews with the City Council will be held at an open public meeting on June 22 via Zoom teleconference. Candidates will wait in a virtual breakout room for their interview time with the City Council. Interviews will be followed by Council discussion and a likely vote that evening for appointment. The successful applicant will immediately assume the office of Councilmember Position No. 1 for a term ending December 31, 2021.
