The Mukilteo Police Department will host “Coffee with a Cop” on Wednesday, February, 27, 2019, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. The event will be held at Starbucks Coffee located at 10100 Mukilteo Speedway, Mukilteo, Washington 98275. Assistant Police Chief Glen Koen, Community Services Sergeant Shaun Greenmun, and Crime Prevention Officer Myron Travis will meet with community members to discuss community issues, build relationships, and drink coffee. All community members are invited to attend.
“This is just one of the many ways our Police Department continues to engage with the community. I invite everyone to stop by and speak to members of our Police Department and ask questions about the great work they do for our residents”, said Mukilteo Mayor Jennifer Gregerson.
This is a great opportunity for police and the community to engage in relationship building and interact in a relaxed environment.
“Strong healthy relationships with community members are a vital part of effective policing. “Coffee with a Cop” provides a comfortable environment for the community to enjoy a positive interactive experience with police department members and build those relationships”, said Assistant Police Chief Glen Koen.

“Coffee with a Cop Day” is supported by The United States Department of Justice and The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time.
