Mukilteo Police Department to Hold First 2020 “Coffee with a Cop” February 5

The Mukilteo Police Department will host its first “Coffee with a Cop” this year on Wednesday, February, 5, 2020, from 2:30P.M. to 4:00P.M. The event will be held at Starbucks Coffee located at 10100 Mukilteo Speedway, Mukilteo, Washington 98275. Police Chief Cheol Kang, Assistant Police Chief Glen Koen, Community Services Sergeant Colt Davis, and Crime Prevention Officer Myron Travis will meet with community members to discuss community issues, build relationships, and drink coffee. All community members are invited to attend.

This is a great opportunity for police and the community to engage in relationship building and interact in a relaxed environment. There will be no formal agenda. The community is invited to come and enjoy free donuts, coffee, and conversation.

“Effective policing begins with strong healthy relationships with the community. I look forward to every opportunity to engage with the community and “Coffee with a Cop” events provide the perfect stage for the community to enjoy a positive interactive experience with department members”, said Police Chief Cheol Kang.

“Coffee with a Cop” is supported by The United States Department of Justice and The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time.
