Mukilteo Planning Commission Vacancy

Planning Commissioner Nick Gottuso announced his resignation last week from the Mukilteo Planning Commission, effective immediately. Nick has served on the Planning Commission for several years, and we sincerely thank him for his service to the residents and City of Mukilteo.  We are now accepting applications to complete Commissioner Gottuso’s term through March 31, 2022.  Application Deadline: 4:30pm, Friday, May 19, 2017.

The qualification to serve on the Planning Commission includes being a resident within the City limits; knowledge of planning, land use and zoning is recommended.

Per MMC 2.36, the City’s Planning Commission consists of seven members who are appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council. Duties of this Commission include an annual review of the Comprehensive Plan and making recommendations to the Mayor and City Council.  This Commission may also act as the research and fact finding agency of the City upon such request or authority given by the Mayor and City Council on land use and other related issues.  For more information about the City’s Planning Commission, visit their homepage.

The Planning Commission’s regular meetings are 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in Council Chambers at Mukilteo City Hall, 11930 Cyrus Way.
