Mukilteo Needs Student Applicants for the Rosehill Community Board

The City of Mukilteo is looking for a student to serve a one-year term on the Rosehill Community Board. Mohuwa Wahid has been serving in that capacity for the past year, and this term ends August 15, 2018.  Applicants must be residents of the Mukilteo School District, not necessarily a resident of Mukilteo.  Resolution 2015-06, which granted the City Council the authority to create the Rosehill Community Board, does not specify an age for the student member.  The Resolution also states that no member “will be a commissioner, elected official or employee of the City of Mukilteo.”

The Rosehill Community Board consists of seven members who are appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council.  The Rosehill Community Board was created for the purpose of providing input regarding policies and operations at Rosehill Community Center and making recommendations to the Mayor, City Council and City. The Board generally meets quarterly, typically the second Tuesday of the month at Rosehill Community Center.  No member will be appointed to more than two full, consecutive terms.  The student position is a one-year term only.
