Mukilteo Looking for Hotelier to Serve on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee

The City of Mukilteo’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) was established to review applications for funding from lodging taxes collected by the City and to make recommendations to the City Council on those applications and related lodging tax issues. The Committee is made up of 7 members. The chair is a City Council member, three members represent lodging establishments, and three members represent agencies or activities eligible for lodging tax funding. Committee members are recommended by the Mayor and appointed by the City Council.

One of our hoteliers, Mark Lee of Silver Cloud, transferred to a different property and the City is now looking for a local hotelier to serve the remainder of his term to September 18, 2019. Applicants must be a representative of a lodging establishment located within the City limits.

2018 Lodging Tax Grants

For fiscal year 2018, the Mukilteo City Council approved over $337,000 in Lodging Tax Grants for such projects as the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival, Chamber of Commerce Tourism Information Center, repainting the exterior of Rosehill Community Center, Mukilteo Light Station repainting and rubber sidewalk replacement, and Rosehill Community Center marketing.
