Mukilteo Launches New Mapping Site

The City of Mukilteo is launching a public mapping portal to provide access to maps and other geographic information system (GIS) data with the launch of a new website called “MukMaps”. Maps related to parks, trails, public works, public safety, parking permit areas and historical information are now conveniently available for viewing. City zoning, plat maps, permit data and County Assessor parcel data are also accessible.  Maps are in interactive and PDF format.

“The City produces lots of valuable data for our own operations, and I have been committed to making this public data available for everyone to use,” commented Mayor Jennifer Gregerson. “The new MukMaps site offers several new features that allow users to access maps and property information based on the City of Mukilteo’s GIS data.”

The City’s GIS Division captures, stores, analyzes and manages all types of spatial and geographic data to help deliver City services and manage City assets.

“The advantage of MukMaps is its continuous online access to City information,” explained GIS Coordinator Jacob Milner. “It enables Mukilteo’s residents, realtors, contractors and others to access GIS information at times that work best for them.”

Milner added that the site will be expanded with more maps and a data portal in the future.

“The City will continue to expand the array of available maps as we continue to respond to the needs of our community,” Milner said. “We welcome suggestions from users in the community about the types of maps they would like to see as well.”
