Mukilteo, WA. Several Boards and Commission positions in Mukilteo have terms ending in the next few months and we are looking for candidates interested in serving their community. All positions are subject to recommendation by the Mayor and appointment by the City Council. Civil Service Commission – Commissioner Tina Over’s initial term ends on April 1, and we are accepting applications to serve on this important Commission that oversees the classification of Fire and Police personnel as specified in the Civil Service Rules and Regulations. This is a six-year term, beginning April 2, 2019 through April 1, 2025. Deadline to apply: February 25, 2019. Council appointment is expected on March 18, 2019.
Parks & Arts Commission – Commissioner Cyndi Thomsen’s term ends on April 5, 2019; Jennifer Baxter’s term ends April 14, 2019. Terms are three-years in length. Duties of this Commission include advising and making recommendation to the Council for the management, control, improvement, beautification and planning of all city parks, and of all play and recreational grounds and facilities. Terms are three-years. Deadline to apply is March 8, 2019. Council appointment is expected on April 1, 2019.
