Heavy Rainfall Expected Tonight Through Sunday

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood watch for portions of Western Washington, including Snohomish County. A strong weather system will bring heavy rainfall tonight through Sunday, December 22. Three to seven inches of total rainfall is expected. Many rivers throughout the County are at risk of flooding. Urban and small stream flooding is also a possibility during the night.

There is some possibility that landslides could be triggered by this heavy rain through soils are not now saturated. Residents are encouraged to monitor the latest weather and river forecasts, and those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding occur.
