Hazard Mitigation Plan

The City of Mukilteo is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan which identifies actions that can be taken by the City to reduce or eliminate the risk to human life and property from natural hazards such as earthquakes, landslides, and floods.  Hazard mitigation plans essentially have two parts.  The first part assesses the city’s vulnerability to damage caused by natural hazards.  The second part identifies capital projects and other programs that if implemented could mitigate the damage caused by the natural hazard when it occurs.

To learn more about the plan click here to go to the Hazard Mitigation page.  The public is invited to comment on the plan.  To do so email Planning Manager Dave Osaki or send your comments to his attention at 11930 Cyrus Way, Mukilteo, WA  98275.  There also will be an open house 4:30-6:30 Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Mukilteo City Hall, 11930 Cyrus Way, Mukitleo, WA where both county and city staff will be available to explain the plan and answer questions.  Comments can also be submitted at the open house.
