Forum to Highlight Physical Risks from Drug Abuse

On March 10, 2020, The Mukilteo Police Department will host a community forum to highlight the physical risks associated with drugs and drug abuse. The event will be held at Mukilteo City Hall, located at 11930 Cyrus Way, Mukilteo, WA 98275, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Health Educator Shanie McLaren, of Providence Health & Services will be the guest speaker.

Shanie has been a health educator with Providence Health & Services since 2002. She has worked in the Birth and Family Education Department as well as serving as the Education and Program Coordinator for Providence Health & Services. Shanie is proficient in nursing education and is a CPR Instructor. She is also tasked with facilitating quarterly CPR training for staff members.

“The Mukilteo Police Department is committed to engaging with the community by offering education opportunities on matters of public safety and health. It is important to inform the community about the physical effects of drug abuse and I’m thankful that our partnership with professionals in the health education community can help make this happen”, said Mukilteo Police Chief Cheol Kang.
