City Seeks EMS Levy Pro and Con Committee Members To Apply This Week

On May 7th, the City Council authorized a ballot measure for a 6-year Emergency Medical Services Levy Lid Lift to restore the regular property tax levy rate from $0.39 to $0.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for collection in 2019. This measure will appear on the August 7 ballot. The City is seeking members of committees to write the Pro and Con statements for the voters pamphlet. Members should be available in the next few months to work together to draft these statements, based on deadlines set by the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office. Each committee can consist of 3 members, but can also ask the advice of other individuals.

Please submit your interest in serving on the Pro or Con committee by Thursday, May 10 at 5pm, by emailing Fire Chief Chris Alexander at calexander@mukilteowa.gov, or by phone at 425-263-8151.
