City Council Candidate Forum July 24 at City Hall

The Mukilteo Beacon and Sno-Isle Library System will sponsor a live City Council candidate forum in Council Chambers at Mukilteo City Hall on Monday, July 24 from 6:30 – 8:30pm.  All 10 candidates have been invited to attend, and 8 have agreed to appear. The City of Mukilteo will live-stream the event and the video will be available for viewing the following morning.  The candidates will be seated at the City Council dais and have the opportunity to make short opening and closing statements to the audience.

Resident, educator and coach Frank Foster will moderate, and the Beacon will write the questions.  Time permitting, the audience will be encouraged to ask questions directly to the candidates.  Voters are also encouraged to submit their questions ahead of time to the Beacon at mukilteoeditor@yourbeacon.net.

The Primary election will be held August 1, and ballots have already been mailed to registered voters in Snohomish County.  There will be a more formal debate sponsored by the Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce and the Beacon in October prior to the general election on November 7.
