Bloodworks Northwest is bracing for a severe summer blood shortage that could limit local trauma centers access to blood. In July only 36% of appointments have been booked and we have over 13,000 open appointment times. Our community’s blood supply has dropped by over 25% since the beginning of June with some types dropping as much as 40%. Learn more about the critical summer need.
“Thank you for donating, especially during these uncertain times. With so many closures and cancellations of blood drives your donation is more important than ever. So many individuals rely on donations like yours to save their life.” – A recent thank the donor message.
