2020 City of Mukilteo Lodging Tax Grant Applications Now Available

The City of Mukilteo is no longer accepting 2020 Lodging Tax Grant application, as the deadline has passed.

The City of Mukilteo is inviting local non-profits and government agencies to apply for a 2020 Lodging Tax Grant. The deadline to apply online is September 12, 2019 and no late applications will be accepted after that date. We will accept only online applications, not paper.

Funds for these grants flow to the City from a 2% hotel/motel tax assessed on hotels/motels within the City.  RCW 67.28.1816 restricts use of the tax to fund tourism promotion, and acquisitions, operations and/or maintenance of tourism facilities within the City. The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) will review the applications on Tuesday, September 24 beginning at 3:30pm. Committee members listen to applicant presentations and recommend use of the funds to the City Council. These recommendations will be presented to the full Council on October 7, 2019.

In 2019, The City Council approved $259,700 in lodging tax grants to the Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce, Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival Association, Snohomish County Tourism Bureau, Historic Flight Foundation, Brand Builder Media, Mukilteo Garden & Quilt Tour, Jericho Bridge Church with the Mukilteo Historical Society, and the City of Mukilteo.
