Mayor Jennifer Gregerson introduced “Mukilteo Cares” Green Business Certification Program in her 2017 Action Agenda items. There has never been a better time to go green! Make a “Mukilteo Cares” green business pledge and become a certified member of Mukilteo’s Green Business Network by
- Improving/increasing recycling and reducing solid waste
- Reducing pollution,
- Conserving water, or
- Conserving energy
Studies show that two-thirds of consumers patronize businesses that are doing their part for the environment, and their employees also benefit from a cleaner work environment. The Online Green Business Certification application is below. Nothing could be easier and more rewarding! Or more green!
A Green Partnership
The City of Mukilteo is partnering with the Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce and Waste Management to promote a green economy with local businesses. Participating sponsors include Snohomish County PUD, Alderwood Water & Wastewater District, and Mukilteo Water & Wastewater District. Each Quarter, the business showing the greatest impact by meeting its green goals will be recognized by the Mayor at a Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce meeting!
Businesses who apply to become a Mukilteo Green Business Network member and are committed to making their green goals will also receive special promotions on the City website, at promotional events and have a special window decal to proudly display in their window.
