Harbour Reach Corridor Grand Opening | June 26, 11am

Join us for a walking and biking Grand Opening of the new Harbour Reach Drive!

The Harbour Reach Corridor Project (HRCP) consists of a new urban arterial connecting Beverly Park Road to Harbour Pt Blvd SW, as well as changes to the the existing road between South Road and Blue Heron Blvd. The completed roadway has one northbound lane and one southbound lane with buffered bicycle lanes, landscape, and sidewalks on both sides of the roadway. A roundabout (RAB) has replaced the intersection at South Road. Learn more about the project here. For a preview view tour with Mayor Gregerson, click here.

“It is so exciting to see this route finally open. It will change all of our habits to have a safe new place to walk and bike, and a new route to connect all of our neighborhoods,” said Mayor Jennifer Gregerson.

All are invited to this grand opening, scheduled for 11am on June 26, beginning at Harbour Pointe Blvd and Harbour Reach Drive. Everyone is encouraged to walk or bike to the site. Parking is available near Mukilteo Memory Care. The event will comply with State of Washington COVID guidelines in place at the time.

The Harbour Reach Corridor Project is funded via $15.1M of Connecting Washington Funds, $2.3M in Washington State Transportation Improvement Board funding,  as well as $1M of City transportation impact fees, collected from private development projects since the original Harbour Reach Corridor study in 2005.

Special thanks to Senator Marko Liias, Representatives Lillian Ortiz-Self and Strom Peterson, the State Transportation Improvement Board, and many others who supported this project.
