In 2018 a Docket Request was submitted to amend the design standards for properties zoned Planned Industrial. On March 19, 2018, the City Council approved moving this request forward in the docket process. For more information on the docketing process, please see the Comprehensive Plan webpage.
What Does This Code Amendment Request Mean?
This proposed code amendment seeks to adopt design standards for properties zoned Planned Industrial (PI) located in the vicinity along 44th Avenue West from 76th Street SW to 84th Street SW. The proposal seeks to apply design standards to this PI-zoned area similar to those design standards that apply in the Community Business (CB) / Planned Community Business (PCB) zones.
In addition, the proposed code amendment seeks to amend zoning code landscaping requirements adjacent to parking areas in the PI zone along 44th Avenue W from 76th Street SW to 84th Street SW from a minimum of five (5) feet of Type III landscaping to a minimum of ten (10) feet of Type III landscaping.
