Previously the Fire Regionalization Committee, the Fire Joint Oversight Committee includes Mayor Jennifer Gregerson, the City’s Public Safety Committee, Fire Chief Chris Alexander, IAFF (International Association of Fire Fighters) Union Representatives, and Fire District #1 Commissioners.
The Committee’s role is to participate in discussions with Fire District #1 for the provision of fire and emergency medical service operations to the City of Mukilteo. The City and the District currently have an Interlocal Agreement regarding use of a ladder truck and incident command services (Battalion Chief). This 5-year Agreement runs January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2021, unless terminated earlier.
