Youth Mental Health First Aid Training – Cancelled

Registration is now open to attend a free “Mental Health First Aid” training at Mukilteo City Hall on Friday, October 20, 2017.  Please click on this link to register for this training.  A young person you know could be experiencing a mental health crisis or challenge. Can you identify the warning signals or know what to do to help?

Anyone can take this 8-hour course but is ideally designed for adults who work with young people, ages 12-18, who may be a coach, teacher, in a faith community, social worker, parent or a caring citizen.  You are more likely to encounter someone in an emotional or mental crisis than someone having a heart attack. This training reaches a 5-step action plan to offer initial help to young people showing signs of a mental illness or in a crisis, and connect them with the appropriate professional, peer, social or self-help care.
