Attend the City of Mukilteo’s PROSA Open House at City Hall on May 24 and learn more about the status of our City’s parks, recreation, open space and art.
The City’s current Parks, Open Space, Recreation and Arts (PROSA) Plan was adopted in 2012. In order to be eligible for funding from the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO), including funding for continued development of the Waterfront, an updated PROSA Plan meeting the RCO guidelines must be adopted by March, 2018. To maintain RCO funding eligibility, work on a new PROSA plan will take place in 2017 for adoption by City Council in late 2017/early 2018. The new PROSA Plan update will incorporate significant formatting and readability changes, similar to the Mukilteo Comprehensive Plan as well as bring the document current with the policies, inventory, level of service standards, and capital improvement plan. This update process will be led by a consultant who specializes in park planning.
