Mukilteo Stands Behind You

February 27, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Mukilteo Youth Advisory Committee (MYAC) will hold it’s second annual “Mukilteo Stands Behind You” event at Rosehill Community Center to promote discussion about mental health within our community and provide resources and information to families on how to help those struggling with mental health. It also serves to facilitate a bond between members of our community so that people feel comfortable reaching out to others for help.

The evening will include speakers including Sargun Handa, a former MYAC  member, TEDx speaker and author, and Dawn and Tim Krivanek, parents of Nina who died by suicide. Wendy Burchill of the Snohomish Health District will provide a free Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR) training for suicide prevention. Vendor booths will also be on hand to answer questions.

This is a free event and the public is invited.
