Mukilteo Park Stewardship Training Orientation
May 4, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Come and find out about the purpose of the Park Stewardship Program, expectations, stewardship roles, and how you can become a community volunteer. There is no charge to participate in this program, and is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and make new friends while working in our beautiful parks!
In 2016, the Recreation and Cultural Services Department established, in partnership with EarthCorps, a Park Stewardship Program to assist the City with park projects, including trail maintenance, trail logging, hosting volunteer events and planting. To be a Park Steward, you must complete 4 lectures and hands-on field workshops (dates listed below), and commit at least 25 hours within a year of completing the program in volunteering.
Other Saturday 2017 training dates are:
- May 20 (9am – 1pm) at Rosehill Community Center
- June 3 (9am – 1pm) at Rosehill Community Center
- June 17 (9am – 1pm) at Rosehill Community Center
- June 25 (9am – 2:30pm) at Japanese Gulch/76th Street Trailhead
