“Map Your Neighborhood” Workshop

This is a two hour workshop on how to implement “Map Your Neighborhood.”  As a result of attending, you will be prepared in a disaster by empowering you, your family and neighbors.

Participants will:

• learn the basics of the Map Your Neighborhood program
• receive tips to get the program started in your neighborhood
• receive hands-on-training at the Mukilteo fire Department
• learn the nine (9) steps to take immediately following a disaster
• develop a neighborhood skills and equipment inventory
• map your neighborhood and identify areas of concern, i.e., gas meters and water shut-off valves
• verify which neighbors need extra help such as the elderly, those with a disability, families with young children/babies, or children home alone.
