In celebration of Earth Day, the City of Mukilteo is organizing the annual community cleanup event at Lighthouse Park on Saturday, April 19 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Volunteers are invited to join in the effort to beautify Lighthouse Park, located at 608 Front Street, Mukilteo, WA 98275. Check-in will be open from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM, with the cleanup activities kicking off promptly at 9:00 AM. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in various tasks, including garden bed cleanup, pressure washing, and trash collection/cleanup. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gardening tools and gloves, as the City's supply is limited.
All participants are required to fill out a volunteer waiver with the City at check-in. Families are encouraged to participate in this event, although children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent throughout the event. Anyone under the age of 18 will need a parent signature to participate.
Volunteers will be treated to a BBQ, sponsored by Tapped Mukilteo, from noon to 1:00 PM while supplies last. The first 100 volunteers will receive complimentary Earth Day Community Cleanup T-shirts. In addition, parking at Lighthouse Park will be free from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM on April 19 in support of the event.
"We are thrilled to organize this Earth Day Community Cleanup event in collaboration with our dedicated volunteers and sponsors," said Mukilteo Mayor Joe Marine. "It's an excellent opportunity for our community to come together and make a positive impact in our city."
