The City of Mukilteo is proud to announce that Council Vice President Jason Moon has been appointed to the National League of Cities' (NLC) Small Cities Council and Information Technology Council (ITC). In addition, Council Vice President Moon was recently elected Vice President of NLC’s Asian Pacific American Municipal Officials (APAMO) constituency group.

The National League of Cities (NLC) is an organization comprised of city, town and village leaders that are focused on improving the quality of life for their current and future constituents.

“I’m honored to be appointed to the Small Cities Council and the Information Technology Council!" said Council Vice President Moon. "Although our City Council has decided to restrict out-of-state travel, I will actively support both Small Cities in Washington State and ITC with my experience and connections in technology and innovation.

I’m also honored to have been voted Vice President of NLC’s Asian Pacific American Municipal Officials constituency group. The value that the NLC brings to Mukilteo is tremendous and also an investment for our future plans, and I’m determined to prove this to our residents and council! My goal is to represent Mukilteo honorably and professionally in all my appointments.”

Council Vice-President Jason Moon joined the Mukilteo City Council in 2022 and was elected to a full term in 2023. Passionate about community and culture, he focuses on decisions guided by Mukilteo’s residents. Previously, Moon chaired Mukilteo’s DEI Commission in 2021. He works at Microsoft in account management and has led Amazon’s Asian Affinity Group, supporting 15,000 members globally. A second-generation Korean American and University of Washington graduate, Moon lives in Mukilteo with his wife and two sons, enjoying fishing, kayaking, and hiking in the Pacific Northwest.
